Class Awards...

Well done Holly and Marcus for receiving Class Awards.  Holly wrote a great letter that has been published and can be read in the office and Marcus read a story with lots of expression.

Harold!

Last week we went to see Carmen and Harold in the Life Education Truck.  We talked about where our food comes from, how it is digested in our bodies and why a good diet is important for us.  We love going to see Harold, he is so funny!  And we learnt ALOT about our bodies from Carmen.

Fruits of India

Mrs Cummings reading group read about some fruits people eat in India.  We got to taste guava and litchi fruits.  The Guava was yummy but the litchi tasted weird!

Levi wrote down the recipe for a Butter Chicken Curry that he found at his house.  Then he got to make it with Teoti and Ameena.  It looked delicious!

Fabulous Writing...

Aiyana has been working really hard in Room 12 to improve her writing.  She wrote about how she won the trophy at her dance school.  She also was given an amazing jacket too!

Holly brought her dancing trophy in to share with the class too!

A visit from Preet

We were very lucky to have Gunnraj's Mum come in and speak to the class about their recent trip back to India.  She bought in lots of wonderful photo's for us to look at and talk about too.  We are looking forward to learning more about this fascinating culture.
