In Terms 3 and 4 we have been working with Matua Makaere Clarkson every Friday afternoon. He has been heping us to learn a little bit about Te Reo Maori and the importance of our environment. He invited Room 12 to the Nuku Lab Garden to view what they have been doing there. Tumeke!

Stop Drop and Cover
Room 12 participated in the Nationwide Shake Out last week. They followed instructions to the letter! Great work R12. We know how to keep ourselves safe!

Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori
We had some special guests come in and visit us during Te Wiki o te Reo Maori (Maori Language Week). Wiremu's Dad and Tamina's Nan both came in and read Maori legends to the class.
Mauruuru mo to panui mai ki a maatau
which means "Thank you for reading to us!"
Fitness Fun at P.E.R.C
On the last day of school we went to the Pulse Energy Centre to take part in another fitness class. It was awesome but exhausting!
Reading Group Volcanoes
The Elephants Reading Group read how to make a volcano. Once they had read the instructions they got to make one in the sandpit.

Tyrone loves taking part in weekly riding lessons at Pony Club. Riding is a fantastic way of building confidence. Way to go Tyrone!
