Awards!!!

Emily got the Principal's Award this week but her Mum took it home after assembly! Great effort in class cricket lessons.

Taylor won a prize in the Holiday Reading Challenge special draw at assembly.  She got a brand new book!

Blackout Day!

Swimming is not until Week 5 and 6 of this term.  Please remember to pay your $10 to the office.

BLACK OUT FRIDAY!

Tomorrow we are holding a BLACK OUT day to show our support for the All Blacks and their big semi final match this weekend in Japan.  We hope to have as many children dressed in black as possible.  We are asking children to bring along a gold coin donation which will go towards the Y8 camp to Wellington next year.  GO THE MIGHTY ALL BLACKS!!!

*** And don't forget to support the Silver Ferns this Sunday in their final Constellation Cup match in Perth.  It's been a whopping 7 years since we last won this.

Week 1 Awards...

What a great first week back!  Here are the award winners for this week.

Noah, Stella and Isal all recieved class awards this week for working hard and showing HEART!  Outstanding effort guys!

Our newest student Ollie is our Star of the Week this week.  You have been such a welcome addition to our class Ollie, its like you've been here all year!  We love having you in Room 12!

Tamina worked hard on her writing during the holidays and in class.  Well done Tamina.  That is commitment to learning at its best!  Tumeke!


 

Making Oobleck!

As part of a science lesson we made oobleck.  Oobleck is a non-newtonian substance.  It is both a solid and a liquid.  WEIRD!

Wonkey Donkey Visit!

Last term Craig Smith the author of the Wonkey Donkey book visited our school.  It was awesome!

Technology!

We were learning about England last term for our part in the production.  Did you know that England has hundreds of castles!  We made our own castles in class.  Then we presented them at assembly.
