Greek Myths
At school we have been learning some Greek Myths. Here is the story of Narcissus and Echo. The children had to retell it in their writing books. They did and excellent job! Tumeke Room 12!
We also looked at and retold the story of King Midas.
Letter from Room 4!
To Room 12,
Thanks for the challenge and the fun afternoon! We really enjoy playing Rippa Rugby and to receive a challenge was great. We were glad the weather held off and we could actually play.
Our class thought Felix Soster was player of the day. He is a natural runner, very fast and scored a couple of great tries. Well done Felix.
We were also impressed with Jack Neighbours and Mo Campey - They were also tough to rip!!!
Try of the day went to Harry - it was brilliant!
In order to get better we think you could spread out a bit more after a rip and pass the ball wide. Keep working as a team and enjoy it.
It is really important that you aim to always show good sportmanship. A group of Room 4 children said that a few children were saying 'bad game' when shaking hands and one student didn't shake hands or say anything. Good sportspeople need to show sportsmanship at all times. Sometimes we lose; sometimes we win. No matter the result - heads up and move on.
Thanks for the game.
Have a good holiday.
